The Study Of Fixed Four-character Words In Yi County Dialect Of Hebei Province

In this paper,fixed four-character words in Yi County(a county which is a part of Hebei Province)are taken as the research object.Yi County dialect belongs to the Dingba Area in Baotang Area of the Jilu Mandarin District Area.So far,there have been few specialized studies on Yi County dialect.In these studies,the pronunciation and grammar of Yi County dialect have been described with brief description in the form of survey objects.There are few research fruits on the vocabulary study and the study of fixed four-character words is even less,which means the study of fixed four-character words is of great research value and significance.The paper is divided into two parts: the introduction and the text part.The text part is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the theoretical discussion of four characters of fixed language in academic circles and the release of fixed language in Yi County dialect.From the second chapter to the fourth chapter,structure,semantics,pronunciation and grammar of the fixed four-character words in Yi County dialect have been classified and studied in details.From what have been mentioned above,we can draw the following conclusions:Firstly,from the structure,the fixed four-character words of Yi County dialect can be divided into single-morpheme fixed four-character words and multi-morpheme fixed four-character words in accordance of the number of morphemes.Among them,the multi-morpheme fixed four-character words are the main body of the fixed four-character words in Yi County dialect.The structure of them is complicated and they can be divided into three categories: compound fixed four-character words,additional fixed four-character words and overlapping fixed four-character words.Each category can be divided into different smaller categories under them.According to the structure,the compound four-character fixed words can be divided into six types: conjunctive words,declarative words,partial words,dominant words,supplementary words and linked words;additional words can be divided into embedded words and attached words,and for attached words,there are three types of words: single-syllable-suffix words,double-syllable-suffix words and three-syllable-suffix words;the overlapping words can be divided into AABB type and A-and-AB type.After the analysis,we find that the fixed four-character words in Yi County dialect have the few features: the complex and typical box-structure,the generalization of the affixes and the numerals participating in the word formation.Secondly,from the semantic point of view,there are five semantic forms in fixed four-character words in Yi County dialect: imitation,metaphor,extension,adversative and exaggeration.The characteristics of semantic composition are mainly vitality,derogatory sense and specification to the applicable object.Meanwhile,the understanding of animals and numbers also affects the semantic composition of fixed four-character words.Thirdly,from the perspective of pronunciation,there is one feature of fixed four-character words in Yi County dialect: weak stress.The additional words and the overlapping wordswords of 2+2 type are mainly weakly stressed in the second syllable;the 3+1 type is mainly weakly stressed in the second syllable;the 1+3 type is mainly weakly stressed in the third syllable.The rhythmic characteristics of Yi County dialect are embodied in 2+2 double-tone step mode,rhymes harmony and rhythm of the cadence and so on.Fourthly,from the grammatical point of view,the fixed four-character words in Yi County dialect can be divided into three types: adjectives,verbs and nouns.Among them,adjectives are the most.From the angle of grammatical function,fixed four-character words in Yi County dialect can be used as subject,predicate,object,attributive,adverbial,complement.In addition,some Yi County dialect four characters can be modified by the degree adverb of "Theseus","quite" and "more".There are still some shortcomings in this thesis,one is that the investigation of four characters in Yi County dialect is difficult,and there are some four characters of Yi County dialect which have not been investigated.Secondly,this paper to collect the material analysis is not deep enough,please experts to criticize and correct.
