Experimental Study On The Tone Of The Dialect Of Cixian County, Hebei Province

Originally known as Cizhou, Cixian belonging to Handan City, Hebei province, is cultural crossroads of three capitals which are the capital of Zhao, Ye and Yin Cixian dialect belongs to Cizhang Section in Hanxin Section of Jin dialect. This thesis focus on Cixian dialect by acoustic experiments from four aspects:the pitch, duration, Rusheng and internal differences.Pitch:1) Monosyllabic tone pattern:Yinping 51, Yangping 434/41, Shangsheng 51, Qusheng 44/43,Rusheng 51; Yinping and Shangsheng is at the confluence of the dynamic changes being.2)Double-word tone modulation mode:when monosyllabic tone word comes into the double word, the position before and after the word and the tone value have changed; the former tone word becomes complex and the after word tone will be turned into a falling tone regularly.Duration:1)The length mode of the monosyllabic tone:Yangping> Qusheng> Yinping> Shangsheng> Rusheng, Rusheng starts to lengthen, but Shucu contrast still remains.2)The length mode of double-word pre-word:Yangping> Shangsheng> Qusheng> Yinping>Rusheng; the length mode of the backword:Qusheng> Yangping> Rusheng>Shangsheng>Yinping.Rusheng:the disappearance of the glottal stop in monosyllabic words accounts for 8.3% of the mono-word tone samples, the ratio is 9% of the two-syllable Rusheng word sample; the percent is different in different situations. The ratio of two-syllable words is greater than that of one-syllable words, the ratio of back word position is greater than that the previous word location, the ratio of the youth is greater than that of the elderly, the ratio of women is greater than that of men.Internal differences:1)The use of Cixian dialect proportion is gradually reduceing, Mandarin is gradually expanding. Cixian state language of the age, environment is different significantly.2)Monosyllabic tone:Yinping, Shangsheng, Rusheng of four groups which are men,women, old and young have slight diffenrences while Yangping and Qusheng have significant differences. The Rusheng length of women is longer than that of men, young than the elderly. The tone of Cizhou is similar with Yuecheng wihle the tone of Guantai is diffenent with the two before.The Rusheng of the three town are at the stage of tail lengthing.3)Bi-syllable tone:the changes of the modulation mode are almost same when the Rusheng become the back words in Cizhou,Yuecheng and Guangtai three towns while then the Qusheng becomes the back word, they changes a lot. The Rusheng of four gourps which are men, women old and youth are all short and can’t be longer easily; the Shucu opposite of the back word all dispear, which in the stage of a non-tail length. The Rusheng in fore word of Guangtai,Yuecheng,Cizhou three towns are short; after word rank in the stage of short → tail length of the tone → non-tail length of the tone respectively,the length increasing from west to east.
