Research On Jiu Jing Ci Lin Zhi

Jiu Jing Ci Lin Zhi consists of six volumes,and it is a departmental gazetteer which record the early Ming dynasty imperial academy and Nanjing imperial academy's history.It was compiled by Zhou YingbinNanjing,who is Nanjing imperial academy's leader in period of Wanli Reign.Jiu Jing Ci Lin Zhi cited much historical materials from Ming dynasty official literature,like Mingshilu,and cited privately compiled history,collected works,local chronicles,personal experience also one of the sources of historical data.Zhou Yingbing processed historical materials by simplification,copy word for word,textual research,add historical materials and prevent missing.This book divided into three parts,it included keep a record of imperial academy events,imperial academy's laws and regulations,imperial academy's officials.It has important reference to descendants when they research on imperial academy and Nanjing imperial academy's anecdotes,officials and official literatures.But the disadvantage of this book are in three aspects.First,not textual research on debatable historical materials.Second,did not indicate the source of citation.Third,a few mistakes in the record.These disadvantages may be causing inconvenience and misdirection to future generations.So,this article will make a total textual research for the Jiu Jing Ci Lin Zhi's error.Wanli 25th years block-printed edition is the only one that survives.
