Background knowledge of interpreters is one of the important factors influencing interpretation quality.The ability to understand the domain knowledge in the original discourse matters most in the business and the ability won't grow with the development of linguistic proficiency(Toury,1986).Professional translation ability includes linguistic proficiency as well as the width and depth of knowledge and professional quality(vocational ability).The study aims to explore training and performance of knowledge management in interpretation under the guidance of schema theory.The study aims to put forward interpretation knowledge management methods and utilize them to facilitate interpreting knowledge management training and improvement on its performance.It is assumed that under the framework of interpreting knowledge,interpreting knowledge management methods like knowledge mapping etc.facilitate training of interpreting knowledge management ability,embodied in mastery of interpreting background knowledge,and improvement on terminology interpreting accuracy rate and interpretation quality.The experiment results show that there is a positive correlation between mastery degree of interpretation background knowledge and terminology interpreting accuracy rate,and the higher their terminology interpreting accuracy rate is,the better interpretation quality is;interpreting knowledge management training facilitates construction and mastery of interpreting background knowledge.The thesis has some implications for interpreter knowledge management ability training and interpreting teaching.
