Relationship Between Father-daughter And Learning Self-control Of Junior High School Students

A good parent-child relationship in family is the cornerstone of the healthy growth of child's body and mind.As the research going,the relationship between the father daughter has gained the academic attention gradually.Junior high school is an important learning stage for children.After entering middle school,academic self-efficacy and self-control will definitely play an important role in the learning result of junior high school students,while father-daughter relationship has a unique impact on self-efficacy and self-control.However,the current research on how father-daughter relationship would impact on self-efficacy and self-control of learning is still at the preliminary exploration stage,and the relationship among those three needs needs to be explored further.Due to above opinions,this study will reveal the current relationship situation between father and daughter who are of junior high school students by in-depth interviews with 12 female junior high school students and 3 experts.Based on this,a questionnaire on the relationship between father and daughter of junior high school students was compiled according to the results of quantitative research.Finally,explore the mediating role of academic self-efficacy in the relationship between father and daughter and self-control.(1)Experts believe that a positive parent-child relationship and a good parenting style can enhance students' academic self-efficacy and self-control,besides,the communication and intimate relationship between parents and children is also a contributing factor to self-control.Through the analysis of the qualitative data of 12 junior high school girls,it is found that positive fatherdaughter relationship can enhance her daughter's self-control behavior and self-control ability,while negative father-daughter relationship has impeded daughter's self-control behavior and self-control ability.(2)The "father-daughter relationship questionnaire" has 15 items including intimacy,criticism and equal communication.The overall internal consistency coefficient is 0.86,and the internal consistency coefficient of each is between 0.66 and 0.85,which actually meets the requirements of psychometrics.(3)Through questionnaire survey,it is found that the relationship between father and daughter,academic self-efficacy and self-control of learning in junior high school students are above the middle level.(4)Self-efficacy of learning ability plays a part in mediating between father-daughter relationship and self-control strategy and self-control tendency in junior high school students.
