Unethical Pro-organizational behaviors(UPB)is defined as the unethical or even illegal behaviors committed by the employees in order to improve the efficiency and function of the organization and the member of it.A large number of studies have discussed ethical behaviors preformed by individuals for the benefit of organization and its members. However,UPB are less involved.Based on Chinese culture, the current research has studied the effect of traditionality on UPB and the moderation role of moral identity, and the mediation role of supervisor-subordinate uanxi.Based on the data collected with Traditionality Scale,Supervisor-subordinate guanxi Scale,Moral Identity Scale, and Unethical Pro-organizational Behaviors Scale acquired from 376 enterprise employees.Following results are supported:There exists a significallly positive correlation between employee's traditionaltity and UPB;There exists a significally positive correlation between supervisor-subordinate guanxi and UPB,and supervisor-subordinate guanxi partially mediates the relationship between supervisor-subordinate guanxi and employee's traditionality.Moral identity moderates the relationship between supervisor-subordinate guanxi and UPB.Individual's tendency to engage in UPB is affected by his tendency of traditionality for those with low moral identity but not for those with high moral identity. The moral identity internalization, not moral identity symbolization moderated the indirect effect of traditionality on UPB through supervisor-subordinate guanxi. The mediation effect of supervisor-subordinate guanxi between traditionality and UPB has only been found in individuals with low moral identity interhalization.
