A Comparative Study Of Chenpeixun's Variation On A Guangdong Folk Melody "Butterflies Fly In Pair" And Liuzhuang's Piano Variation

At present,there are many comparative studies on Western piano works in the world,and there are also researches on the comparison between Chinese works and Western works.But there are few researches on the comparison between two Chinese works.In the author's opinion,China has a wide range of areas,a large number of ethnic groups and various regions with different music style characteristics.Chinese style piano works do not refer to a single music style,but also have different music characteristics among many Chinese style piano works.Only by grasping the music style characteristics of different ethnic groups and regions,and integrating these characteristics into performance,can we show truly different Chinese style works and carry forward China's rich and gorgeous music culture.In this paper,Chenpeixun's Variations on a Guangdong Folk Melody "Butterflies Fly in Pair" and Liuzhuang's Piano Variation are compared and discussed from the following aspects:The first part briefly introduces the creation background of the two works,and expounds their status and historical role in the development of Chinese piano music.Secondly,from the aspects of musical structure,tonality,melody characteristics,etc.,the characteristics of the two works of music were elaborated and compared.Third,briefly introduced the south and north folk song music style difference.This paper briefly describes the artistic style and music characteristics of Guangdong Music and Shandong Yimeng Minor involved in the two works,and analyzes the infiltration and application of these two folk music in the two works.Fourth,the key performance techniques of Chenpeixun's Variations on a Guangdong Folk Melody "Butterflies Fly in Pair" and Liuzhuang's Piano Variation are compared in detail.
