Autonomous learning is a kind of modern learning mode corresponding to the traditional accepted learning,which meets the realistic requirements of modern society for the cultivation of lifelong learning ability.with the continuous deepening of the reform of China's college entrance examination system and basic education course reform,the requirements on the independent learning ability of high school students are constantly improved.At present,the internal and external researchers have carried out a multi-aspect and multi-level systematic study on independent learning,and have produced a lot of results.However,there are few investigations and studies on the present situation and countermeasures of independent learning in high school students,and there are not many theoretical results.Due to the lack of the theoretical guidance,high school English teaching can only find its way forward in the attempt,which limits the improvement of teachers' education level and affects the developments of students' personality.Therefore,it is particularly important to strengthen the research on the status quo of independent learning of high school students to cultivate the ability of independent learning of English students.Guided by the theories of cognitivism,humanism and constructivism,this paper studies the English independent learning of high school students in Zhengzhou foreign language school through questionnaire survey,interview and teaching experiment.This paper is divided into six parts: part one,introduction.This part mainly expounds the background and significance of the research,the research status quo at home and abroad,the research content and methods,etc.Part two,concept definition and theoretical basis.The concept of autonomous learning is defined from three aspects: the concept of autonomous learning,the characteristic of autonomous learning and English autonomous learning.Meanwhile,the theoretical basis of the paper is sorted out from three aspects: cognitive psychology,humanistic theory and constructivism theory.Part three: questionnaire survey,interview and teaching experiment were used to investigate and analyze the status quo of English independent learning of high school students in Zhengzhou foreign language school.The fourth part.The reason analyzes the status quo of English autonomous learning for high school students.This paper analyzes the reasons for the existing problems of senior high school students' English autonomous learning the three aspects of students' learning ability,teachers' teaching ability and the schools' efforts in promoting learning.Part five,countermeasures for improving the status quo of senior high school students' English autonomous learning.This paper proposes countermeasures and suggestions for senior high school students to cultivate their independent learning ability from three aspects: Strengthening students' independent learning awareness,improving teachers' teaching ability of independent learning and promoting the reform of school independent learning.The six part is the summary and prospect of the whole paper.Through the research,it is believed that the cultivation of the independent learning ability of high school students is the inevitable trend of education reform and college entrance examination reform.It is a complex and progressive process,which requires the join efforts of the school,teachers and students.School should push forward the reform of self-learning paradigm,teachers should improve the level of self learning teaching skills,and students should cultivate their awareness of the subject of self-learning.
