Tumen river culture,is a branch of Changbai mountain culture,is the sum of material wealth and spiritual wealth of Tumen river basin since ancient times,is also a part of Chinese culture.It can be defined mainly from both tangible and intangible aspects:The visible part is mainly the material and cultural form part,with sites,landscapes and attractions,distributed in the whole basin.Intangible part is non-material cultural form part,there are some very symbolic and representative of human beings,including language culture,home culture,ritual culture,food culture and so on.As the main developers of Tumen river area in modern times,Korean nationality,together with Han nationality and Manchu nationality,created brilliant Tumen river culture in the north bank of Tumen river area in more than one hundred years of history.Under such a development situation,Tumen City actively made strategic adjustment,established Tumen River Culture Tourism Festival,Tumen River Forum,Korean folk touri sm,Korean farming and other cultural brands.This paper compares and analyzes the releva nt economic data and social development of Tumen City from 2012 to 2016,and further di scusses the positive impact that Tumen River culture industry can bring to Tumen's econo my.The conclusion is that the downward pressure of Tumen economy has been increasing i n recent years,but Tumen city has stabilized the bad trend of economic development by rel ying on Tumen River culture industry.This result also shows that Tumen's cultural industry can bring its own value into play when agriculture and industry can not give full play to its local advantages,which is also a positive impact on the city's economy and society.
