Based on the definition and interpretation of the theoretical concept of calligraphy aesthetic paradigm,this paper puts forward two different "calligraphy aesthetic paradigms" based on ancient and contemporary society-"classical-humanistic paradigm" and "pluralistic-comprehensive paradigm".Based on these two different aesthetic paradigms of calligraphy,this paper explains the various phenomena and social roots of Chinese calligraphy in the process of modernization by emphasizing the sociological factors in the process of modernization.As a common aesthetic system recognized by the calligraphy circle,the calligraphy aesthetic paradigm includes the calligraphy expression mode,the calligraphy aesthetic concept,the calligraphy aesthetic mechanism and so on.At first,this paper defines the concept and explains the theory of calligraphy aesthetic paradigm,and then analyzes the phenomenon,new concept and aesthetic mechanism in the "modernity," shift of calligraphy aesthetic paradigm.From the perspective of phenomena,contemporary calligraphy aesthetics and ancient society have undergone great changes,the most prominent feature of which is the tendency of "diversification" and "visualization".Behind this is the change of the aesthetic concept of calligraphy.With the advent of the "post-industrial society",the beauty of calligraphy presents a new form of expression,which involves a series of issues such as the price of calligraphy,original works and copies.The ultimate root of these changes in contemporary aesthetic paradigm of calligraphy is the change of aesthetic mechanism under the social transformation,the change of identity of calligrapher,and the fundamental change in the way readers view works.This change is not only in the relationship between calligraphers,calligraphy recipients and calligraphy works,but also the fundamental change in the relationship between individuals in society.As a form of artistic presentation,the 'multivariate-comprehensive paradigm' of contempora ry calligraphy aesthetics is actually the external representation of the"modernity" turn of Chinese society.Finally,the paper puts forward some Suggestions on the future trend of Chinese calligraphy from the perspective of calligraphy aesthetic paradigm,in the face of the social structural changes brought about by the impact of science and technology,China should rethink and interpret the tradition and face the diverse presentation of calligraphy in the future with a more open and inclusive attitude.
