The structure,ways of sounding and performance,and other factors of cello create a variety of timbre.Timbre is an important means to shape musical image,therefore rich timbre is the goal that every performer pursues tirelessly.There are many factors that affect the change of timbre,and the right hand technique is one of the important factors.Sonata for Cello and Piano by Samuel Barber is a dramatic and conflicting work,with variable timbre as one of its features.In order to explain the influence of right hand technique on timbre in cello playing,the typical examples of this work are studied,and the relative right hand techniques are combined to explain the influence of these techniques on timbre problems.
