The Study Of The Window Elements In Hopper's Painting

Edward Hopper,an outstanding American realistic painter in the twentieth Century,has an incomparable position in the history of American art.Artists such as WYTH,De Kooning,Roscoe and other artists have been influenced by Hopper's painting.Hopper used a unique form of painting to convey to the viewer what the artist thought.He is good at expressing emotions through windows,showing the loneliness and confusion of people living in cities.Taking "window" as the breakthrough point,this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the form elements of windows in Hopper's works.First,the general aesthetic significance of the window is explored in the light of the image of the window in Chinese aesthetics,and the metaphorical meaning and function of the window are analyzed according to the features of the window elements in Hopper's painting.Secondly,through the interpretation of his classic works,he summed up the law of his processing of the picture,and according to Hopper's way of drawing with the help of the window elements,the emotional connotation and special significance of the window elements in his painting were obtained.Then we integrate the window elements in Hopper's painting,and sum up the characteristics of the application of Hopper's window elements.Finally,it analyzes the influence of Hopper's window elements on my creation,and expounds the inspiration of Hopper's artistic language and personality language to me by my graduation creation,so that readers will have a more comprehensive and deep understanding of the application of the window elements in Hopper's painting.The research and study of the window elements in Hopper's painting and the strategy of organizing Hopper to organize pictures are of great help to improve the appeal of our works,improve the artistic accomplishment and enrich the spiritual connotation of our works.He is willing to endure loneliness,keep the true and unremitting pursuit of art,and have important implications for us in the current impetuous social environment.
