Yan geling is the most influential overseas Chinese writer who focuses on female themes.As a particularly prolific female writer,she has chosen a variety of social background topics,but she has never been divorced from the exploration of gender relations and focus on women on the "edge".Her outstanding lies in the analysis of human nature,creating a series of three-dimensional works.In her works,she reveals her reflection on human nature and the exploration and instruction of the truth,goodness and beauty of human nature,thus triggering the reflection of the whole society on the status of women.Through the study of Yan geling's works,it can be found that she is very good at writing about women.In the process of narration,she can explore the instinctive consciousness and the emotion of female characters according to her own experience.Her creative ideas are meticulous,focusing on the story layout and plot structure,and she tends to describe emotions and psychology.She puts her own female consciousness into her creation,which shows the weakness and cowardice of women in a rich way,but also deeply depicts the strong and unwilling side of women on the edge.The marginal female themes she chose include the oppression and distortion of women's identity in the military life in the early days,the writing of the lives of uprooted women and the helpless immigrant women,etc.In her novel,she explores the corners of the world that are easily overlooked from the perspective of marginal women.It is her ability to choose a unique perspective that makes us see a different world,and sometimes even gives us the illusion that we can see a relatively real world in the vision of women on the edge.This paper will study the embodiment of marginal female images in Yan geling's novel creation.The research on this topic is divided into four chapters.In general,it includes three core contents: the first part mainly studies the concept types and identity characteristics of marginal women,so as to lead out the characteristics and forms of expression of marginal women in Yan geling's novels.The second part focuses on the edge of women in the works of Yan geling,and the characteristic of the edge of women under different subject matter,the third part is about the artistic value of the novel,the female subject and to analyzes emotional expression,to focus on Yan geling depiction about the depth of marginal female,to focus on the edge of a woman's inner monologue,emotional condition,life situation,observe social point of view,to explore women's unique ideological dimension,as well as in the face of their situation within tolerance and unwilling,resisting.
