The Study On The Yangwan Site In Jungar Banner

The Yangwan site is an important Yangshao cultural site in the Ordos area.The site has 30 house sites,9 grey pits and 2 gutters,as well as many pottery and stone tools.It’s of great significance for understanding the settlement layout,production methods,and population flow in the early Yangshao era in Ordos.Other researchers have studied the cultural period,cultural connotation,and settlement layout of the site.This paper will use stratigraphic and typological methods to analyze the staging and evolution of typical relics.In addition,this paper will use the settlement archaeological methods,focusing on the analysis of the settlement layout of the Yangwan site,so as to discuss the way of production,population changes,family structure and other issues.By analyzing the geographical environment of the site,you can know the region is the junction of three provinces,a place where cultural exchanges converge,however,it is not suitable for large-scale,long-term development of primitive farming agriculture,the short survival time of this settlement also corroborates this judgment.Judging from the overall layout of the settlement,the settlement is separated from the outside by a trench,internal zoning planning,orderly,and centered on large houses.From the characteristics of the site to examine,there is a difference between the area of the houses in large,medium and small houses and the internal treatment methods.Judging from the unearthed artifacts,mainly includes production tools,as well as rakes,storage containers,food containers,drinkers,etc.The spatial distribution of large-scale storage devices and production tools may reflect the differences between different types of households.Judging from the diachronic evolution of settlements,the overall trend of settlements is to expand from the east to the west,then shrink to the west,and eventually be abandoned.Comprehensive analysis,the settlement method of this settlement mainly includes farming,collection,hunting and textiles.The population change in settlements should be a process of first multiplying and relocating.There should be families with different scales within the settlements,and different scales of families have different social divisions.In addition to the family,there should be clan organizations higher than the family,responsible for the unified planning of settlements,handling public affairs,organizing the collective production of clan members,and the distribution of products.Settlements from the expansion to the decay until they are abandoned should be related to the tension between human and land and the destruction of the ecological environment caused by the growth of the settlement population.At the same time,they should not rule out natural disasters,plagues,violent conflicts in settlements,and other factors.
