"Tsinghua University Tibetan Warring States Bamboo Book"(Ⅶ)(《清华大学藏战国竹简(柒)》)was released on April.The series contains four bamboo slips,History of King Yue(《越公其事》)is one of them.The article is divided into eleven chapters,which describe in detail the practices of the trapping of trapped habitats,the quest for Wu,the improvement of governance,and the final elimination of Wu.Some of the contents are closely related to Guo Yu·Wu Yu(《国语·吴语》)and Yue Yu(《国语·越语》).The records at the beginning and the end are especially the same.Most of the contents are not found in the handed down documents.This provides us with valuable materials for the study of the history of Wu Yue’s hegemony in the late Spring and Autumn Period.So it has high historical value.In addition,this article can also be verified with handed down documents such as Zuo Zhuan(《左传》),Guo Yu(《国语》),and Zhan Guo Ce(《战国策》).It also has great value in document collation.History of King Yue(《越公其事》)was organized by Doctor Shoukui Li.His research on textual research,document collation,historical research and so on has aroused the interest of scholars,ancient Chinesescript lovers,and history lovers.This article compiles the comments of the scholars and writers of ancient Chinesescript lovers.It comprehensively combs the texts,and strives to innovate on the basis of previous studies,and proposes its own words for misinterpreted words and certain new characters.Views provide references for subsequent research.The main content of this article includes:The first part is an introduction.It briefly introduces the outline of the content,research value,the current research status of History of King Yue,and explains the specific research methods.The second part is variorum.Bamboo slip(竹简)for the unit,in the first we list out the content related to the words that need to be explain,and then we array the original words,enumerate the points which we has collected of scholars and ancient Chinesescript lovers,at last we state our own judgment and opinions in the form of note.The third part is related tothe study of related issues,combining the content of the brief text,the handed down documents and the research of the predecessors to discuss the nature of the brief text,as well as the location of Fu Jiao.
