Chengteh is located in the border area between Beijing and Inner Mongolia,which is an important strategic buffer in the northern part of the capital.Before the Qing Dynasty,Chengteh was only a nomadic land of Inner Mongolia tribes.With the gradual development of Chengteh,a large number of people poured into Chengteh,formed a situation where the Manchu,Han,Mongolian and other ethnic groups live together,In order to strengthen the rule over Chengteh,the Qing government carried out a substantial reform of the administrative divisions of Chengteh.Finally,it developed into an important political sub-center at that time.From the first year of Yongzheng(1723),the Jehol Hall was set up here,and since then it has been set up one after another,with Bagou,Dolenor and other administrative buildings specializing in the administration of multi-ethnic settlements.Qianlong 43th(1778)the Riehe Hall was elevated to Chengteh Fu,which administered Pingquan,Luanping,Fengning,Chaoyang,Jianchang and Chifeng,since then Chengde Fu has been repeatedly modified to the end of the Qing Dynasty,finally with 1 city 3 counties.Chengteh was used as a gateway to the northern part of Zhili Province.It is an important strategic buffer between Inner Mongolia and the capital.After a long period of complex administrative division reform,Chengteh has changed from a remote and wild place to a political deputy center.The first chapter of this paper mainly describes the Chengteh government and its prefectures and counties,including the evolution of the administrative district,the level of change,in order to make a comprehensive,systematic investigation and analysis.The second chapter mainly narrates the change of the jurisdiction of Chengteh government and its prefectures and counties,from the beginning of its establishment to the end of Qing Dynasty.The scope of its jurisdiction has undergone a process of from small to large and gradually shrinking.The third chapter mainly analyzed and discussed the causes of Chengteh government district changes from the Chengteh government in the geographical position and superior natural conditions,population changes,improve administrative efficiency and other angles.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the changes of Chengteh's political status,the development of social economy,the benefits of cultural and educational undertakings and religious development.
