The Research Of Reduplication In Man Dailect Of Cangnan

This paper analyses the overlapping of verbs,adjectives,adverbs of Cangnan’s Man dialect,according to the Part of Speech,and discusses them in three aspects which are the overlapping structure type,grammatical function and grammatical meaning,in order to describe the overlapping of Cangnan’s Man dialect in a comprehensive and systematic way.There are seven parts in this paper.Part one is a introduction which intruduces the research content and significance of this paper,the related research achievements of Chinese reduplication and Man dialect,and briefly introduces the general situation of Cangnan’s Man dialect and its phonetic system,also,makes some explanations for this paper.Part two discusses the verb reduplication of Man dialect that Man dialect has ten kinds of verb reduplication,like “AA,AAA,AXA”.Monosyllabic verb multi stack is quite a unique dialect reduplication in Man;For the grammatical functions of verb reduplication,Man except for the predicate,can also serve as subject,object and attribute,but in general,they can not take object directly.And like most of the Wu dialect,Man’s verb reduplication generally with the complement;The grammatical meaning of Man’s verb reduplication,“AA/ A-yi-A” is reduced the amount of action,but the grammatical meaning of other Man’s verb reduplication is to increase the degree of the verb.Part three discusses Man’s adjective reduplication.The “Meng” in the Man’s adjective reduplication“A-meng-A” is a special Man’s affix,equivalent to a adverb of degree in the middle of two adjective only;The collocation with the affix “ge” and the degree adverbs is selective for different Man’s adjective reduplication in different situations;The basic grammatical meanings of Man’s adjective reduplication are "description" and "increase the amount of degree".Part four and part five discuss the adverb’s and quantifier’s reduplication of Man dialect.Their basic grammatical meanings are all“increment".There is no huge difference between them and the Mandarin’s,so these two parts are relatively simple.Part six compares the Man dialect,Mandarin and other dialects,analyzes their similarities and differences.The reduplication forms of Man dialect,Wu dialect and Min dialect are very rich.However,in the tendency of the reduplication of verbs and adjectives,we think that Man dialect is closer to Wu dialect in a certain degree.Part seven is the summary chapter.In this part,the characteristics of reduplication in Man dialect are summarized,and the shortcomings of this research are also pointed out.
