The use of tobacco seriously endangers people's health, aggravates the economic burden of the society and has also become an urgent problem of public health. As the largest tobacco consuming country in the world,China has more than 300 million smokers, and the number of people dying from tobacco related diseases every year is up to 1 million. However, according to the survey data, the proportion of smokers in our country only accounts for 39.6% of the Chinese population, which is far lower than the country with strict tobacco control. And many studies have confirmed that the intention of smoking cessation has s great impact on smokers taking smoking cessation behavior. Therefore,it is of great significance to study the influence factors underlying the intention of smoking cessation, which will promote smokers to give up smoking cessation intention. At present, the research on the variables factors of smoking cessation intention in China is mainly carried out in the review and analysis class, and a few cases have been investigated, and there is no theoretical support. Therefore, based on the theory of planned behavior,a questionnaire is made to explore the influencing factors of smoking cessation intention of adult smokers.According to the situation reflected in the survey, the reasons are analyzed, and reasonable suggestions areput forward.Based on the four stages of "street, neighborhood committee(property),family and investigation object",five samples from Tangshan City were sampled by multi stage sampling.846 adult smokers were selected,210 of which were in line with the standard, and 202 valid questionnaires were collected. The questionnaire was designed concerning four aspects of adult smokers' attitude towards smoking cessation, subjective norms, perceived behavior control and smoking cessation in five areas of Tangshan City.Questionnaires were designed through theoretical construction, and effective samples were distributed and recovered.Data were processed by SPSS and AMOS,and the hypotheses were verified by descriptive statistics, reliability and validity test and structural equation modeling. The results of the empirical analysis show that: first, the behav ior attitude of adult smokers has no significant influence on the int ention of smoking cessation.Second, the subjective norm of adult s mokers makes a difference to the intention of smoking cessation.T hird, the perception behavior control of adult smokers has a lot to do with the intention of smoking cessation and is the most importa nt factor.Fourth, among the demographic factors, the intention of sm oking cessation differs in terms of adult smokers' age.According to the results of empirical analysis, this study,on the basis of relationships among various factors in the planned behavior theory, putsforth suggestions for adult smokers to quit smoking from four aspects:perceived behavior control, subjective norms and smoking cessation intention, and the problems reflected in actual surveys.
