The German composer Johnannes Brahms was no doubt one of the greatest musicians in the history of western music in the 19 th century.His works involved all musical genres except operas.Among his vocal works,in addition to some of the artistic songs that we are familiar with,the most representative one is his large-scale choral works "German Requiem",which he composed for chorus,solo,and orchestra.Unlike the traditional Catholic Requiem,it was created in the context of Protestantism in Germany.The entire lyrics of the work are based on Martin Luther's translation of the German Bible,and the creative techniques imitated Bach and Hendel' s chorus skills,with a clear musical structure,exquisite realignment,ingenious acoustic connections,which is no doubt the representative of the protestant church music.This article mainly took the fifth movement soprano solo and chorus as the research object,three chapters were divided to carry on the analysis of its artistic characteristics and singing methods and techniques.The first chapter was "German Requiem" creation overview and overall characteristics,the creative characteristics of the entire work was discussed after a brief introduction of the background,the overall creative characteristics including "German lyrics,“Human nature more than divinity”,“soul object changed”,“ring structure choreography characteristic" were analyzed.In the second chapter,the creative analysis and detailed features of the fifth movement were discussed in detail in the following aspects,“the relationship between the connotation of lyrics and the structure of songs”,“the relationship between melody characteristics and lyrics”,“the relationship between voice and accompaniment”,“the relationship between Solo and Chorus”.The third chapter was the singing analysis of the fifth movement,the lyrics pronunciation characteristics,correct grasp of breath,singing emotional processing and strength comparison were analyzed respectively.The conclusion summarized the creative characteristics of the fifth movement,itssinging value and the requirements for singers.
