This thesis is based on the consecutive interpreting practice for China-Iran Nanotechnology Training & Experiment Program in July,2017.The whole event lasted for three days, during which the author provided interpreting services in the previous two days for two clients.By reviewing the two-day interpreting practice under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory, the author has a better understanding of the three key stages of the theory, that is,understanding, deverbalizing and expressing. In the fourth part of the thesis, the author analyzes ten cases which demonstrate the specific application of the three stages. In this way,the author finds that it is of great significance for MTI students to make full preparation for every interpreting task by establishing glossaries, and especially by getting familiar with different English accents.Besides,In order to achieve deverbalizing,it is of great importance for MTI students to practice their short-time memory. In field interpreting, there can be some distractions which makes note-taking sometimes a hindrance for making sense of the utterance. What's more, clients' feedback should be taken seriously so as to learn from each interpreting practice and make progress accordingly.
