There are lots of grammars in modern Chinese,many of which are very important and difficult,for example “the separable word” is a special phenomenon.It is an important and difficult grammar point in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages.It is a grammar that the Chinese learners are liable to make some mistakes.After consulting the literature,I found that lots of researchers has studied the separable words so far,some of which studied the grammar itself and some studied from the perspective of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages.And there are some researches aimed at the errors of the separable word by learners who come from different countries.However,all of the literature I found searched from the perspective of the students.Searches aimed at Thailand native Chinese teachers is not yet found.During my internship in Thailand,I found that the local Chinese teachers had lots of problems in the use of the separable word,in spite that they became Chinese teachers already.Which really surprised me and prompted me to see how their knowledge of the separable word and the use of this special grammar.As we all know,teachers are the leaders and promoters of teaching activities.And then the Thailand native Chinese teachers are the main power in teaching Chinese in Thailand,whose Chinese knowledge and teaching ability will have a direct impact on Chinese teaching and learning.Thus their problems are really worthy of enough attentions.Different from previous studies,this paper takes the local Chinese teachers in Thailand as the analysis objects,and through questionnaire survey,statistical analysis,we can know about the characteristics of their use of this grammar.Then through further interview,we can learn more about how they learned and taught this grammar,according to which some suggestions are put forward from two perspectives: the cultivation of teachers’ groups and these teachers’ teaching skills to students.Based on the analysis of the questionnaires,this paper finds that the native Chinese teachers in Thailand have a poor grasp of the separable word,which is manifested in the unfamiliarity of the concept of the separable word and the bias of the segregation form.Among the five types of errors listed in this paper,the teacher of Thailand has the best command of overlapping the previous one,and the most biased is to put the preface-component on the front.The degree of familiarity ranges from high to low as follow: overlapping the former form,the insertion of attribute,theinsertion of auxiliary words,the insertion of the complement,and putting the preface-component on the front component.The present of these biases,On the one hand,it is affected by the negative transfer of knowledge of mother tongue and target language.On the other hand,it is influenced by objective factors such as textbook design,annotation interpretation and unscientific classroom teaching.Therefore,this paper suggests that,first of all,in cultivating the teachers’ team,we should pay more attention to improving the Chinese level and teaching ability of the teachers themselves.Secondly,teachers should be able to predict the potential errors of students and prepare the correct strategies in advance through the cognition and correction of their biases.Finally,teachers should master and use some scientific teaching methods,such as contrast teaching and context teaching,to help students reduce errors. |
