On the basis of the translation of The Behavioral Economics of Climate Change?Chapter Two?,this report is going to explore problems met in the translation process and solutions to tackle them.The book is a comprehensive work on the economics of global warming from the standpoint of adaption paradigm of global warming policy responses and deals thoroughly with the economic theories of global warming and empirical models of global warming economics.Focusing on public goods and their efficient provisions,the second chapter of the book introduces the theory of public goods and the differences between public and private goods,the defining characteristics of a public good and how to achieve Pareto optimality in provision of a public good.The report includes four parts.The first part introduces the background and explains the significance of the project.The second part analyzes the contents and features of the translation material.The third part records the preparations before translation,analyzes difficulties in translation from lexical,syntactic and textual level,and explores how to use specific translation skills to address translation problems at lexical,syntactic and textual level under the guidance of Nida's functional equivalence theory.The last part summarizes the lessons gained in the translation and points out the problems to be solved.
