In human communication, offense is unavoidable. When offense occurs, some offenders may develop negative emotions such as anger and disgust toward offenders, thereby avoiding or revenge. Some offenders may take sympathy and tolerance.and forgiveness offensive behavior. This study manipulates the powers perceived by the subjects and through two experiments to examine the influence of the sense of power on forgiveness under different intimate relationships, and to explore the offender's psychological cognition of offensive behavior and the choice of forgiveness behavior. On the one hand, this study validates the impact of the sense of power and intimacy on forgiveness. On the other hand, the Implicit Association Test was introduced into the power effect to study whether the individual's explicit and implicit forgiveness levels were separated under different the sense of power states. In the Study 1,2(relationship: intimacy, general)× 2(the sense of power: low, high)was design of the subjects,There were 246 undergraduate students whom would be divided into four completely randomized test groups,The first step was let them read the offend story, and then start high and low sense of power, finally measure the level of explicit forgiveness of the subject. The results are shown below:(1)The main effects of the sense of power were significant, and the average score of explicit forgiveness of the high sense of power group is significantly higher than the explicit forgiveness average score of the low sense of power group, that is,the level of explicit forgiveness of the high sense power subjects is lower than that of the low power subjects;(2)The main effects of intimacy were significant. The average score of explicit forgiveness in the intimacy group was significantly lower than the average forgiveness score in the general relationship group.According to the score rule that the higher the score of the forgiveness scale is,the more unforgiving the scoring rules were, the offensive behavior was more easily forgiven;(3)The interaction between intimacy and power is significant, that is,the level of explicit forgiveness is independent of the two variables of intimacy and the sense of power. It is also affected by the interaction between the two.In the intimacy group, the sense of power is high and low. There was no difference in the level of explicit forgiveness among the subjects. In the general relationship group, the level of explicit forgiveness of the low sense of power was significantly higher than that of the high sense of power.Research 2 is the same as the offend story and start-up method of the Research I.It still uses the 2(relationship: intimacy, general)× 2(the sense of power: low, high)test room design, and uses 142 undergraduates as subjects In order to avoid the social desirability effect, study the level of implicit forgiveness of test subjects. The results are shown below:(1)There was no significant difference in the dominant effect of the sense of power, and there was no significant difference in the average reaction between the high sense of power group and the low sense of power;(2)The main effect of intimacy is significant, and the mean response time of implicit forgiveness of intimacy group is significantly higher than that of general relationship group. The longer the response time, the higher the integral rule of implicit level of forgiveness.Subjects are more likely to forgive offenders who are close to their relationship;(3)the interaction between intimate relationship and sense of power is significant, that is,the combination of intimate relationship and sense of power influences the level of implicit forgiveness of the subjects. In the intimate relationship group, there was no difference in the level of implicit forgiveness between subjects with high and low sense of power. In the general relationship group, the level of implicit forgiveness of low sense of power was significantly lower than the level of implicit forgiveness of high sense of power subjects. The conclusions are:(1)the high sense of power reduces the level of explicit forgiveness of the individual, and the low sense of power enhances the level of explicit forgiveness of the individual;(2)intimate relationship can improve the level of explicit forgiveness of individuals and the level of implicit forgiveness;(3)In intimate relationships, there is no difference in the level of forgiveness between individuals with high and low sense of power. In common interpersonal relationships, there is a difference in the level of forgiveness between individuals with high and low sense of power. That is,the influence of the sense of power on forgiveness is regulated by the relationship;(4)In the general relationship, the levels of implicit and explicit forgiveness of low sense of power individuals are separated. In the general relationship, the level of explicit forgiveness of low sense of power individuals is higher than that of high sense of power individuals and implicit forgiveness. The level is lower than that of high sense of power individuals.
