| This study was to investigate sense of power of college student,empathy and altruistic behavior, to explore the relationship between the three.The Altruistic Behavior Scale of Undergraduates,the Power Scale and the Chinese Interpersonal Reflect Pointer Scale were administrated to a sample of 400 students by randomly sampling from three universities in ChangSha.Result:(1) sense of power of college students had significant negative correlation with altruistic behavior.(2)college students’ empathy had significant positive correlation with altruistic behavior.(3) sense of power of college students was significantly negatively related with empathy.(4) The effect of sense of power on altruistic behavior was totally mediated by empathy.Conclusion:(1) low power college students has more altruism than high power student.(2) high level of empathy students’ performance more altruism.(3) college students of the lower sense of power has the higher level of empathy.(4)Empathy has a mediator effect between sense of power andaltruistic behavior. We can increase high power individual’s altruism by empathy training. |
