Research On The Dialect Of Qiukou Town,Wuyuan Country

This thesis takes the dialect of Qiukou town,Wuyuan county as the research object and the content involves pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar,etc.The thesis,which on the basis of practical survey and previous studies,investigates the phonetic features of the Qiukou town's dialect in detail.Firstly,the dialect of Qiukou town belongs to Xiuyi slices,Hui dialect.There are 21 initials(zero initials included),33 finals(self-formed syllables [m] and [n] included)and six tones in it.Secondly,large number of phenomenon which is about literary and colloquial reading exists in the dialect.However,the trend of literary and colloquial reading mutually corresponds to each other is weakening because of the competition on the use of language.Thirdly,the variable laws of the non-neutral tone in disyllabic sequences are not rich.Only the tone of the first word is [21],then can it happen to change.In this case,the tone of the first word will change from [21] to [24] and the tone of the the latter word will not change.At the same time,content such as the phonetics of single word and the collection of same phonetics has also further improved the phonetics' system which is synchronic.Besides,the thesis summarizes the phonetic characteristics which are about the dialect of Qiukou town by comparing the present phonetics with the one of medieval times.This reflects the evolution of the dialect.The thesis also focuses on the special phenomenon of vocabulary and grammar.It shows the unique language face of Wuyuan county's dialect and even the Hui dialect.Hui dialect has always been known for its complexity.There is a high consistency in Wuyuan county's dialect,but the internal differences remain obvious.This thesis is based on noumenal research of the Qiukou town's dialect.It reveals the features of phonetics,vocabulary and grammar.On the one hand,it fills the blank of research which is about Wuyuan town's dialect.On the other hand,it provides the accurate and reliable basic materials for the in-depth study of Wuyuan town's dialect and even the Hui dialect.
