A Phonetic Study Of Wuyuan (Qiukou) Dialect

In this research paper,we mainly describe the phonetic system of the dialect according to the accent of Qiukou County through field investigation,which is used for the table of initials,finals,tones,syllable full table and the homophony syllabary of Qiukou dialect.At the same time,the phonological system of Qiukou dialect is compared with the medieval tone system represented by Guangyu,then their phonetic correspondence relationship is found.The synchronic description an diachronic comparision are combined to summarize its phonological features.Furthermore,summarizing the tone sandhi and literary and colloquial readings of Chinese characters of Qiukou dialect,including the two sets of words and three sets of words,and the series of Fei(非),Jian(见),Zhi(知).For the sharing of two tone phenomenon of Qiukou dialect,including the rhyme rhyme-m tail and the evolution of Ni(泥),Niang(娘),Ri(日),carried out a more detailed analysis.The article reports that,in addition to being influenced by foreign strong dialects,which is mainly due to the internal adjustment and evolution of the speech system itself.
