Culture and education,as the spiritual activity of human production and life,is the internal driving force of social development.As the main carrier of culture,farmers play a decisive role in the transmission of Chinese fine culture.During the period of Yan’an,China was in a deep-seated war of resistance against Japan and the war of liberation.Faced with the harsh natural environment in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region and the backwardness of humanistic education,in order to improve the scientific and cultural level of farmers,promote the development of productive forces in the border areas and increase farmers’ awareness of laws and regulations.Improving farmers’ ideological and political awareness and stimulating their enthusiasm for the founding of the country during the War of Resistance against Japan.The peasant culture and education advocated and implemented by the Border Region Government has opened up the vision of the peasants,enriched the connotation of the new democratic culture,and created a cultural landscape of “prosperity”.This paper uses literature and theory to link the research methods with the theory,and uses the peasants’ culture and education as the main thread to penetrate the whole text.It starts from seven aspects: background,content,characteristics,approaches,effectiveness,experience and inspiration.First of all,from the background of farmers’ culture and education,this paper analyzes the natural and humanistic environment and the status quo of peasants’ culture and education in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region in detail,and further discusses the rise,purpose,and tasks of farmers’ cultural education.Secondly,the content and characteristics of farmers’ cultural education were studied in depth.The contents of farmers’ culture and education were studied from the four aspects of writing,political thought,popular law and science and technology.At the same time,the culture of farmers during this period was summarized.The four major features of education.Thirdly,according to the contents and characteristics of farmers’ culture and education,five ways and four effects of farmers’ cultural education were put forward.Finally,the purpose of this article is to sum up historical experiences and lessons,provide practical inspiration for the cultural education of new rural peasants in the new period and the smooth development of the “three rural issues” work,enhance the cultural self-confidence of the peasants,and strengthen the Chinese nation’s “four” from the root."Self-confidence," with a view to realizing the road to building socialist culture with Chinese characteristics and realizing the Chinese dream of a great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
