In its long-term contacts with China,Vietnam has absorbed a large amount of Chinese culture and combined it with such elements as Vietnamese native culture to create Vietnamese-Chinese novels.As an important part of Vietnamese-Chinese novels,the fairy stories with immortals as the main role also highlights the ancient folk belief in Vietnam.This gives the stories of Vietnamese fairy tales including literature,history,folk culture and folk beliefs multiple meanings within.According to the specific texts,the main characters "god" and "xian" in the stories of Vietnamese Chinese fairy tales reflect more independence in the religious sense.On the basis of these novels,hey produced seven themes: Fu Shen,Xian and Taoism,History,Nation,Ethics,Marriage,Fate.Behind these gods and celestials,as well as the theme of the novel,are the natural worship,ghost worship,totem worship,and long-term engagement with Chinese culture that the Vietnamese nation acquired in the long run of production and life,the localization of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism.In addition,from the perspective of narratology,it also has its own characteristics in terms of narrative perspective and narrative time.That is,through the conversion of narrative perspectives and the inversion of narrative time,it gives the novel a sense of change and a sense of wonder.Finally,the Chinese fairy stories in Vietnam,both as a material of folk beliefs and as a novel,show the practical functions and psychological demands that Vietnamese people,rulers and novels given to,which were based on the realities of Vietnam's economic,political,military,etc..
