Han Xiang was one of the Eight Immortals. He was Han Yu's grandnephew and sought to achievement all his life in history. Han Xiang's immortal image developed from his historical character, the shaping of his immortal stories and the maturity of his immortal image were completed mainly in the following three novels. You Yang Za Zu, written by Duan Chengshi in Tang Dynasty provided the possibility of the immortal stories. Du Guangting, who lived in the late Tang Dynasty, had wrote Xian Zhuan Shi Yi that provided the important foreshadowing. Liu Fu's Qing Suo Gao Yi in Song Dynasty was the milestone of Han Xiang's immortal stories. Han Xiang's image in the three books had a profound effect afterwards. Han Xiang's immortal stories had been recorded in note novels, comments on poem and essay, and became important materials for posterity to compose poems. Since YuanMingQing Dynasties, there were many dramas and novels concerning with Han Xiang recorded the Han Xiang's immortal stories. In the dramas and novels, Han Xiang's immortal stories became more sinuous and integrate, and Han Xiang's image developed gradually and finally developed into a mature one.This thesis is trying to settle Han Xiang's life, development of his image in the note novels, dramas involving him and development of Han Xiang's immortal stories in MingQing novels, macroscopically as well as microcosmically. This thesis is consists of four chapters. The first chapter introduces all Han Xiang's personal information, including Han Xiang's name, birth date and his experience in career and so on. Furthermore, it also comprehensively sums up research scholars have conducted before. The second chapter analyzes the development of Han Xiang's immortal stories in the early stage and the recordation condition in classical works. The third chapter does a cording work on categorizes all the dramas concerning with Han Xiang in different dynasties, and analyzes the development of Han Xiang's image in drama. The fourth chapter analyzes the MingQing novels concerning with Han Xing comprehensively.
