| "Weiyangge" is the only novel in creative career of Lu Qiao,which started in1943 and completed in 1945.Kunming in Yunnan Province and Southwest Associated University during the Anti-Japanese War as the narrative space of the novel,tells the youth story that a group of optimistic and friendly students from Southwest Associated University in the times of turbulence.This paper attempts to contact the context of wartime,to "Weiyangge" for text analysis,applying the theory of literary geography criticism,around the geographic space,geographical image,geographical gene in three dimensions,and probes into the significance of geographic space construction in the novel,the symbolic connotation of geographical images and the display of geographic genes in the text,In order to grasping the creative psychology and aesthetic tendency of Nelson Ikon Wu,exploring aesthetic significance and ideological values contained in "Weiyangge".The introduction part of the thesis combs the current situation of "Weiyangge" and the literature geography criticism theory,based on the the theoretical basis and innovation points of the thesis topic selection.The first chapter emphatically analyzes the geographical space constructed by Lu Qiao in "Weiyangge".Based on the contemporary background of writers’ creation and geographical space as the starting point,from the two aspects of the wartime space construction and the Southwest Associated University space construction,analyzes how the writer wants to construct this form,study the space concept that the writer embodies in the novel,in order to trigger the thinking of writer’s artistic choice.The second chapter mainly explores the presentation and intrinsic meaning of geographical images in "Weiyangge",and explores its narrative function.From the two aspects of the natural image and the humanist image,explores the symbolic connotation of the plant image,the animal image,the train image and the church image,and their significance to the characterization,plot promotion and emotional expression of the novel,thus,through the geographical image,insight into the valuepursuit and aesthetic interest of Lu Qiao.The third chapter deeply discusses the geographical gene of Lu Qiao in the narrative of the novel.Using the concept of geographic gene in the literary geography criticism theory,combined with the writer’s life,from two dimensions that the dominant factors of the geographical gene and the recessive elements,we can see the author’s perception of Kunming’s natural geography and folk customs,search for traditional culture education and the free and harmonious cultural atmosphere of Southwest Associated University to the infiltration of Lu Qiao temperament,and the influence on the creation of “Weiyangge” and its embodiment in the novel.The conclusion summarizes the whole thesis and explains the significance and value of "Weiyang Song" from the perspective of literary geography criticism. |
