Nostalgia as a common mood exists in people’s lives,accompanied by positive,negative and bittersweet emotional potency.Studies have shown that nostalgia has a significant impact on mental health,and its psychological functions are mainly manifested in the areas of storing positive emotions,strengthening social connections,making people have the significance of existence,and maintaining and improving their own initiative.In addition,nostalgia also has an important impact on individual consumer decisions.The influence of nostalgia on individual cognitive behavior and its influence mechanism has become a hot issue in current positive psychology research.In this thesis,the theme of nostalgia,from multiple angles comprehensive and systematic study of nostalgia for different distance perception.This thesis consists of three studies.The first study examines the effect of nostalgia on interpersonal distance from the abstract level by using single-factor inter-subjective experiment.The second study includes three sub-experiments.Experiments A1 and A2 adopt the single-factor inter-subjective experiment,and the third experiment adopt three-factor experiments were conducted to explore the effect of nostalgia on perception of objective time distance.The third study includes three sub-experiments,B1 and B2 used the single-factor inter-subjective experiment to explore the impact of nostalgia on interpersonal spatial distance perception from the perspective of self-correlation and others.Experiment B3 adopted two-factor experimental design,using the stroop classic paradigm variants discuss the impact of nostalgia on perceived distance in the objective space.Through the statistical analysis of experimental data,the following conclusions can be drawn:1.Starting from the perspective of interpersonal distance,this study explores the impact of nostalgia on interpersonal distance perception.The results show that nostalgic memories have a closer distance perception to others,means that they feel more intimate with others.2.In the second study,from the perspective of time distance,the influence of nostalgia on interpersonal time distance and objective time distance was discussed.The results showed that nostalgic individuals perceived longer than ordinary individuals in judging interpersonal time distance related to self and others;in the judgment of the objective time distance,the nostalgic vocabulary perceives more than the daily vocabulary in the short term presentation time,and when the vocabulary presentation time is the same and long,the relationship between the nostalgic vocabulary and the daily vocabulary have no difference in perception.3.In the third study,from the perspective of spatial distance,the influence of nostalgia on interpersonal spatial distance and objective spatial distance was discussed.The results showed that nostalgic individuals had more spatial distance perception than ordinaryindividuals on the self-related interpersonal spatial distance.There is no significant difference between the nostalgia individuals and the ordinary individuals in judging the spatial distance,which indicates that nostalgia does not affect the judgment of the spatial distance when the individual acts as a spectator.In the objective spatial distance,the interaction between nostalgic words and daily vocabulary is not significant,means that nostalgia does not affect the individual’s perception of the distance of objective space.
