A Study On The East Asian Modernity Of Korean Movie Characters

Since 1990 s,Korea has carried out the motion of movie revitalization,the reference to American Hollywood films and exploring native films,which makes Korean films rise rapidly in the global context and rely on their cultural and geographical advantages,the cultural influence on East Asia has been increasing day by day.Under the background of accelerating the process of globalization and the crisis of modernity and its reflection increasingly urgent,Korean films focus on the crisis of modernity in the present,and from a special angle of view,through the character's modernity maintenance to the high-quality traditional culture,making the value transition between tradition and modernity natural and smooth,and providing a special form of modernity for other latecomers after a particular choice of their own cultural traditions.put it bluntly,the value of Korean films lies in providing an aesthetic image of "East Asian modernity",which is different from western modernity.This paper takes Korean films from 2011 to 2016 as the research object,and takes the theory of East Asian modernity as the support to carry out the research from the perspective character of image.This paper tries to explore that how Korean films reveal the modernity defects of the present society by shaping the characters of "East Asian modernity",with the help of the high quality traditional culture,in the transformation of tradition and modernity,generate the emotional structure and meaning value of introspecting modernity.This paper is divided into five parts : the abstract has introduced the background and purpose of this study,he current research status at home and abroad is sorted out,the significance of the topic of the paper is clarified.Part?discusses the mature expression of "East Asian modernity" in Korean film content creation and related research based on the interpretation of East Asian modernity and other related concepts and theories.Part?focuses on the analysis of the character shaping of the Korean film "East Asian modernity" from three aspects: the emotional type of the character image,the set classification and the aesthetic characteristics.part ? explains the social,cultural and aesthetic significance of the character shaping of "East Asian modernity" from a perspective of society,culture and aesthetics.Part ? introduces the present situation of Chinese film,draws lessons from the advantages of Korean film character shaping,compares and analyzes the shortage of Chinese film in character shaping,and take this as a warning puts forward the corresponding evasive strategy.
