The Translation Of Film And Television Subtitles From Skopos Theory

In today’s world,with the progress of society and economy,economic globalization has been developing continuously,and cultural exchanges between countries have become increasingly frequent.More and more foreign excellent film and television works have begun to flow into China,enriching People’s Daily life,and also testing the translation quality of subtitle translators.Excellent subtitle translation can not only convey the meaning and cultural connotation of the author,but also improve the attendance rate.However,the rough subtitle translation can not only express the meaning of the author,but also have a negative impact on the film and the spread of culture.Therefore,subtitle translation is very important.This article is under the guidance of skopos theory in translation,in the2017 TBS television ratings high,domestic douban score 9.1 they "Quartet" subtitles for research.This thesis is divided into three parts,the first part is the task description and the background of the thesis.The relevant literature has been found in the leading research.The second part introduces the skopos theory,from the origin of skopos theory and the three principles of teleology,namely the principle of purpose,coherence principle and faithful principle.The third part mainly focuses on the concrete translation methods embodied in the "the author",first introduces the plot,and then carries on the case analysis from the perspective of free translation,adding and subtracting and adjusting the order.
