Comparative Study Of Shengxun Of Shuowen And Shiming

As an exegesis method,the Shengxun has already appeared,and Xu shen has actively used it in the essay.According to historical records,Liu xi and Zheng xuan are the countrymen(both in the north Beihai county),Liu Xi learned from Zheng Xuan.As we all know,Zheng Xuan noted "Sanli",there are many quotation from Shuowen.Although Shinming is about 100 years later than Shuowen,both of them originated in the particular historical era of The Eastern Han Dynasty,so Shuowen’s shengxun are likely to have had effects on Shiming.Based on the previous studies,this paper attempts to select the corresponding examples,summarize the similarities and differences between the two books,mainly from the aspects,such as the content of the Shengxun,the way of interpretation,the style of interpretation and the angle of interpretation,referring to the same Shengxun notes in other classics,attempts to explore the reasons for the similarities and differences between Shuowen and Shiming,analyze the Etymological motivation of their respective Shengxun.From the same place,it can be proved that the inheritance relationship between Shuowen and Shiming;As the two books also use different phonetics,the diachronic change of pronunciation,the influence of the phonics and the subjective characteristics of Shengxun,there are many differences between the two books.At last,by analyzing the interpretation of Shengxun in the Shuowen uncollected in the Shiming,we conclude that the Shengxun is more rigorous than that of Shiming.
