Study On Children's Literature By Cao Wenxuan

This paper takes Cao Wenxuan's picture books of children's literature as the research object,and uses literature review method,comparative research method,graphical method,etc.to carry out analysis and research in five chapters.The introduction and the first chapter mainly elaborate the reasons for this research,the status of the research and the methodology,reviews the development of Chinese original picture books,the representative works in various stages and the research results.Chapter 2,3,4 and 5 mainly introduce the origin,overview and artistic characteristics of Cao Wenxuan's picture books,and the difference between his picture books and non picture books.Cao Wenxuan's picture books mainly demonstrate fiveprofound themes including praise of family affection and friendship,promotion of truth,goodness and beauty,thinking of human nature,as well as reflection on environment and war problems.The rich and varied subjects mainly cover five types such as animal,war,life and education.Through the analysis of his literary texts,we can find that Cao Wenxuan's picture books artistically feature the continuation and expansion of the aesthetics of suffering,traces of life in childhood,the strong flavor of rural life and the richness in "Chinese style",and aesthetically embody the humanistic beauty of sympathy,the elegant beauty of poetry,the marvelous beauty of imagination,and the visual beauty resulting from colorful fitness.At the same time,in the process of explaining and analyzing his various works,the paper also quotes and combines the contents and pictures from his works,and therefore,more intuitively reflects the similarities and differences between the picture books and the non picture books.Finally,through the analysis of Cao Wenxuan's picture books,we have known that the original Chinese picture books,represented by Cao Wenxuan,put emphasis on the story and its core,showcase the "Chinese style" in terms of texts and painting skills.These works have witnessed rapid development as a whole,and some of them have been sold abroad and served as the cultural link between China and the outside world,a point that gratifies all of us.Meanwhile,deficiencies remain like the complaint that "these works seem to be the shorten versions of novels as they contain too many words".As Cao Wenxuan himself has said,it is remain to be examined for some time whether this phenomenon will serve as an innovation and the Chinese standard,or should be still judged by experts and theorists and then slowly recognized and accepted by the international community.However,the road Cao Wenxuan has followed to and the achievements he has made in writing picture books will serve as the inspiration for the development of Chinese original picture books.That is demonstrated in the fact that the excellent picture books should feature Chinese culture,and authors should also hold firm ideals and beliefs and take efforts and perseverance in order to create the world and future that belong to them.In this case,Chinese original picture books can stand firm and erect in the world of picture books.
