| Since the Chinese Language Proficiency Test(HSK)has been started in Beijing Language and Culture University in 1984,HSK as a standardized test launched by the office of Chinese Language council international has received extensive attention and recognition from the Chinese language teaching community.Among all HSK tests,the new 4-level HSK not only meets the requirements of simple daily communication in Chinese,but also can be considered as the needed proficiency of Chinese language for some ethnic minorities,students who come to China for preparatory education,students who come to China to study,and for people who want to work in China.For this reason,this test is worth particular attention.The new 4-level HSK established a comprehensive requirement for learners’ language ability.The general Chinese vocabulary teaching method or the conventional examination method cannot meet the actual requirements of the new 4-level HSK vocabulary teaching.Further research on teaching methods is necessary.At present,there is much research on the new HSK,but there is less research on the new4-level HSK vocabulary teaching.These research mainly discuss the features of a specific type of words in the outline and then summarize the appropriate teaching methods instead of suggestions for actual teaching.Based on previous research of Chinese vocabulary teaching,this article classifies vocabulary teaching methods from the perspective of lexical classifications and systematically elaborates the selection and application of vocabulary teaching methods.Firstly,in order to obtain more detailed lexical classifications,this paper classifies the new 4-level HSK vocabulary according to its grammatical function,semantic system and pragmatics.According to the grammatical function,there are 11 lexical categories and other categories for phrases.According to the semantics,There are synonyms,antonyms,and upper and lower words.According to pragmatics,there are seven kinds of topic vocabulary.Secondly,on the basis of the previous research on teaching vocabulary to foreigners and teaching the new 4-level HSK vocabulary,combined with practical teaching,classroom observation,and actual investigation,the aim of this paper is to sort out six main teaching method of teaching 4-level HSK vocabulary and analyze the suitable lexical classifications and their applications for each method.And also,according to the pedagogical methods and suitable lexical classifications,interviews were conducted with teachers of Chinese as a foreign language,and questionnaire surveys were conducted on international students.From this research,we know the reason and the degree of acceptance of some specific teaching method.Finally,this paper identified the problems of the teaching methodsof the 4-level HSK vocabulary teaching.Combined with the principles of teaching vocabulary,under the premise of guaranteeing the operability of the teaching,this paper came up with four suggestions for the existing problems: using the teaching method to strengthen students’ awareness for different lexical classifications and highlight the network of vocabulary;Improving the awareness of cultivating students’ reviewability and communicative skills;and appropriately integrating the activity teaching method.This paper tried to provide some practical advice for the future new HSK Level 4 vocabulary teaching. |
