Return To Original Nature-Aesthetic Characteristics In The Art Of Firewood Ceramics

As the oldest technique of making ceramics,firewood is a kind of art of fire and earth.It makes use of the interaction of soil,fire,wood and kiln to make a comprehensive art,which makes the art of wood burning ceramics have its unique artistic flavor.This paper attempts to interpret the existence of Firewood ceramic art from scratch from the perspective of aesthetic cognition.From the aesthetic thought of Chinese traditional "Lao Zhuang(Lao Zi and Zhuang Zhou philosopher in the Spring and Autumn Period,founder of Taoism)philosophy" and the spirit of Chinese aesthetics,this paper tries to analyze the aesthetic features embodied in the artistic creation of wood burning ceramics by the aesthetic expressiveness of returning to nature.This paper makes a comparative study of the aesthetic characteristics of the art of wood burning ceramics,mainly from two major directions.On the one hand,it combines the concept of "traditional wood burning pottery" to innovate and inherit the traditional influence of modern wood burning pottery art.On the other hand,from the direction of Chinese traditional aesthetic spirit,it combines the beauty of the burning process of Chai burning ceramic art,and the description of the aesthetic characteristics of plain beauty,natural beauty and the beauty of emptiness after burning into the works.On the basis of fully cognizance of the aesthetic characteristics of the art of firewood ceramics,it can also be better on the traditional innovation and inheritance,and at the same time,it also hopes to bring practical guidance and reference for the development of wood burning ceramic art to a certain extent.
