Thomas Nagel based on his subject and object dualism of metaphysics, introduces the dimension of human nature into egalitarian political philosophy, and starts with the separation of personal and impersonal stances caused by the internal division of self and reveals egalitarianism. The dilemmas and challenges faced are not the conflict between individuals and society, but the split between the two positions within the individual. From the standpoint of impersonal, everyone's life is important, and no one is more important than any other person. Therefore, impersonal positions represent universally unbiased and equal demands;from a personal standpoint, individuals it is extremely important to itself, and no other person is more important than himself. Therefore, personal positions represent the motives and requirements of individualism. This kind of conflict within the individual is reflected in the political level as a conflict between individual motivation and social system.Based on this understanding,Nagel examines the possibilities and limits of egalitarianism as a political ideal and tries to find out This kind of possible restrictive integration,in order to meet the requirements of non-biased externalization of impersonal positions, can also leave enough reasonable space for the bias of personal position. For such an integration,Nagel puts forward two options: one is based on realistic considerations to achieve a weak non-Utopian choice of egalitarianism, and the other is on the psychological and institutional shift Utopian imagination. The purpose of this paper is to follow Nagel's thinking, analyze and interpret the idea of equality, and try to think and respond to the concerns of egalitarianism from the standpoint of its dualistic concept. The first chapter: from the perspective of Nagel's perspective, discusses the rootcauses of the dilemmas of egalitarianism, and attempts to reveal the relationship between Nagel's idea of juxtaposed positions and its subjectivity and objectivity. The second Chapter : This chapter mainly discusses the main content of Nagel's thought of equality. The third Chapter : This chapter attempts to follow Nagel's thinking, examines the possibilities and limits of egalitarian political ideals, and makes a brief review of their equality ideas.
