It is undeniable that in our daily lives we are far from impartial in the way we conduct ourselves. We always do something special for people with whom we share certain types of special relationships rather than strangers. In addition,we not only have good reasons but also have associative obligations for being partial in this way.Now that we do have such reasons and obligations, then it is necessary to explore that what might be the sources of partiality. This question yields many more accounts of ethical partiality. In this thesis,I will focus on three non-reductionist theories: the projects-based view, the individuals view and the relationship-based view, and suggest that among these accounts the relationship-based view is the best way to explain the concept of partiality, reasons of partiality and obligations of partiality.
