During World War ?,the United States and China,as the main members of the Allies, both made great contributions to the ultimate victory of the Anti-fascist War.China,as the main force against Japan in Asia, has received much international assistance.Especially since the passage of the lend-lease act of 1941,the United States has provided various kinds of aid to China. At this time, most of China's external transportation lines were cut off by Japanese, and could not send the aids to the mainland to support the Anti-Japanese War in time. After the outbreak of Pearl Harbor, the United States declared to join the war against Japan,U.S.hoped to achieve the goal of "keeping China in the war" by giving China supplies,so as to maintain the stability of China-Burma-India theater and to carry out its strategy. Therefore,it is imperative for U.S.to open up new transportation routes to help China. From 1942 to 1945,the United States government led the development and construction of a number of aid routes to China. The southwest was mainly based on the "hump" airlift for air transportation and the Ledo Road for the land transportation, while the northwest was mainly the northwest road and post transportation. In this article, based on the historical facts that the United States helped China to open up new transport routes, try to analysis what actions did the U.S.take in these three transport routes, such as,manpower and material resources, logistics and medical support, military security and so on,then fully explore its effect and influence.
