Ecolinguistics Study On The Names Of Urban Street

Ecolinguistics(EL)is a cross discipline combining linguistics and ecology.Its task is to reveal the interaction between internal system and external environment by using the theories and methods of ecology,and to provide a theoretical reference for mankind to form a healthy and harmonious language society.The toponym is the witness of the local culture.The name of street belongs to the high frequency part of the toponym system,and it is unique in voice,vocabulary and structure.In the process of new urbanization,the names of street that meet the requirements of EL can enrich urban multiculturalism,highlight the characteristics of urban features,build EL ecosystem,and achieve urban language harmony and urban social harmony.Guided by the theory of EL,this paper observes and studies the internal and external ecosystems of Zhejiang street names in Hangzhou,Jinhua,Yiwu and Hengdian.From the view of the internal system of EL,the inner similarity of road names in different cities and towns is more obvious.Voice with three syllables and four syllables,with the main structure of "proper noun + common noun",derived structure is in common use,meaning that clear and distinct,distinctive features.From the view of the external environment of EL,the external differences of road names in different cities and towns are more obvious.Different natural factors,historical factors and industrial factors make the street name of city diversity.Hangzhou street names show the city golden name card of "the Southern Song Dynasty imperial" "West Lake Charm""Network of Silicon Valley".Jinhua highlights the "Historic""Two Golden Dragons"features of the city.Yiwu Street names consciously reflect the "Integrity of Small Commodity Market"pragmatic spirit connotation.Hengdian takes "Film and Television Culture" through it.From the perspective of EL civilization construction,the achievement of urban street names in standardization,informatization,public participation and infrastructure construction is in line with the requirements of EL.There are problems in the formulation of rules and regulations,naming repetition,symmetry,rigor,culture,disappearance and renewal speed,which do not accord with the requirements of EL.Finally,under the guidance of the good EL construction,we put forward the corresponding countermeasures to the road name which does not meet the requirements of the EL.The government departments should pay attention to it.We should maintain the harmony of the internal EL,maintain the stability of the external EL,give full play to the positive role of people on the basis of strengthening language policy formulation,and construct a urban EL system.
