Study On Polysyllabic Words Of DONGJINGMENGHUALU

The book of DONGJINGMENGHUALU was published in the Southern Song Dynasty,which belongs to the recent ages of Chinese,so to some extent it can reflect the usage of vocabulary in this period and pervide lot’s of valuable materials.On the one hand,based on exhaustive statistical analyses of polysyllabic words of DONGJINGMENGHUALU,this dissertation has not only disscussed the semantic component of those words,but also gone for morphological formation thoroughly,then we can get the basic characteristics of polysyllabic words of the book.On the other hand,the dissertation has analysed those words through horizontal and vertical comparisons from the perspective of diachrony.Accordingly,we can draw an outline of the dvelopment of polysyllabic words.Besides,in order to take full advantage of linguistic value of the book,the paper would utilize polysyllabic words of this book to revise and supplement the Great Dictionary of Chinese,thus expecting to provide some basic materials to the amendment of the Dictionary.
