Thai People's Image Of China Since 1975

People's Republic of China and Kingdom of Thailand are close relation and neighbor counties.It has been a long time that both of Chinese and Thai people have been in touched and found their neighbor as a good place for travelling.Having the finding of diplomatic established in 1975,political,economic,cultural,and educational relations have exchanged and been stronger.The current statistic shows that a number of Thais who make an aboard journey to China increases year by year.Since visits and exchanges made by the leaders of both counties,academicians and Thai travelers,travel writings are recorded and written by travelers,lots of Thai people are interested in those travel writings.Therefore,this research critically analyses the 14 travel writings written service over 41 years from 1975 to the most recent and from a travelling TV programme of Thai public broardcasting.By the way there is a difference in period of time,perspective of Thai people to China in term of politic,economy,geography and culture.Moreover,in term of research methodology,the researcher uses quantitative data collection,questionnaires are given to appropriate participants.The obtained information is mostly leading to statistic and need to be calculated,statistic software SPSS Statistics 21 is used to generate interactive outputs and perfectly help to compare between perceptions of Thai people who have been to China and be participants for this research.As a result it found that Thai people's image of China on travel writings and questionaries contain similarities in many perceptions.For example,Thai people perceive that quality of life of Chinese people is stable and improving due to leader strengths.Also China are strong economy,stability and able to develop their growth rapidly because of their resource base.Furthermore,Chinese cultures are diversified and identities which are valuable for tourism industry.China also has a number of attractive ancient ruins and relics as well as local languages that are the most use in the world this encourage foreigner interested in educating in China in order to improve in quality of life and economic.There are a lot of natural attractions like mounts,waterfalls and beaches are also attractive to a number of tourists.The difference of Thai and Chinese cultures result in a better change in term of perceiving culture,language and tourism.The researcher is doing master degree as an international in Chinese study at Zhejiang University.Attitude and experience gained from 15 travel writings display that culture and language is philosophy and attitude develop nationality advancement.The researcher expects this research would benefit to whom interested in doing research on country relation,it would guide future research to the right direction and become relevance for current issue.
