A Study On The Interjections In Linxiang(??) Dialect,Hunan Province

As one of common ways to express feelings,interjections are very important in daily communication,and it has been the focus in dialect research.But interjections are hard to grasp well,because they have complex meanings and different ways of pronunciation and they are are used by different people in vary environment.So there are still some research spaces for interjections.This dissertation takes Linxiang(??)dialect interjections as the research object,and striving to to analyze them comprehensively and detailedly.This dissertation is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.Firstly,it introduced the general study of Linxiang dialect.Then,it analyzed the study of interjections in mandarin,dialect and ancient Chinese.Finally,it presented the significance,methods and data sources of this research.The second chapter is Linxiang dialect research and the use of experimental phonetics software.I built a multimedia corpus of Linxiang dialects by the multimedia transliteration annotation software Elan,and extracted the typacal interjections of Linxiang dialect based on true corpus of discourse.Then this chapter analyzed the pitch and duration of Linxiang interjections by Praat in Elan.The third chapter studies the semantics of the characteristic interjections.Combined with datas in Chapter 2,I extracted 17 typical interjections in list of syllables as the research object by comparing with mandarin interjection.They are divided into three parts:expression interjections,position interjections and ideographic interjection.They are also deeply analyed in theirsemantical features.The fourth chapter is the research of discourse function.It studied the discourse function of Linxiang dialect interjections from the two aspects of reflections in the tenor of discourse and the discourse communication function,which spreaded the study of Linxiang dialects interjections to discourse level.The fifth chapter studies demonstrative interjections.It compared "x(?)" with "de",and analyzed their pragmatic functions.It also compared demonstrative interjections in Linxiang dialect with those in other dialects.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.Firstly,it summarized the research.Then,it stated some theoretical thinking:to attach importance to building real corpus,to pay attention to scientific analysis in pitch,to compare different interjections both in one area and different areas by semantic map.Finally,it pointed out the deficiencies of the dissertation.
