Preliminary Discussion On Yao Yuanchu

At the time of the modern revolution in China,there were not only the heroes,who shouted their blood on the battlefield for the sake of national independence,but also the shouts and calls of countless people and scholars.Yao Yuanchu was one of the representative ones.He grew up in the late Qing dynasty and received the education of the old literati for the purpose of imperial examination.At the same time,he received the new education in Imperial University of Peking and experienced the revolutions and ideological movements in modern literature and affected by the influence of western culture,economy,politics and technology.As a member of literary people in the era of change,Yao Yuanchu has obvious characteristics of the times and personal characteristics in his poetry and fiction writing.He did not stick to any literary genre,literary genre or literary thinking.To win over the public,will be old and new,and has its own usual patriotic feelings.He was always good at learning from others and integrated the new things and held patriotic feelings.After studying the modern poetic background and Yao Yuanchu's personal experience,this essay concludes that his poem has the following characteristics: focusing on the reality,revealing the scandals,impressing the readers,expressing the passions,delivering the original works and taking advantages of different sources.For the study of Yao Yuanchu's novels,this article starts with the dual influence of Chinese traditional novels and western novels,as well as the personal factors of Yao Yuanchu.In summary,there are three perspectives to reveal the characteristics in his novels.First,as for novel style,the structure is well organized and linguistically good for both ancient and modern language originated from oral Chinese speech.Second,the novels deploy with both new and old techniques in an amusing way.Third,the novels contain various topics and contents with great value.Moreover,as the platform for literary groups to exchange and voice with many grassroots scholars,"Nanshe" plays an important role in modern social politics,literary creation and cultural communication.The literati represented by them both have the feelings of "common people's temperament" and "scholar-officials".Faced with the current situation and various political opinions that are complicated,they had been constantly puzzled and thoughtful,while constantly fighting and trying to leave a touch of color on the picture of the times.This article attempts to start from the origin family,academic history,major works and community activities of Yao Yuanchu,and sort out his life trajectory,excavate the value of his works and observe the people who spoke aloud for the era and had a common dream,in order to glimpse the changing era of cloth literati's thinking and behavior.Apart from the introduction part,the rest of this article is developed by four chapters as well as appendix part.The first chapter discusses the Yao Yuanchu's personal experience and the formation of his literary mind set,mainly from the aspects of his life,learning bearing,and traveling.The second chapter discusses the research of Yao Yuanchu's poetic thought.Based on the traditional poetic background,the characteristics of his poem creation as well as its influence and significance were discussed.The third chapter discusses the Yao Yuanchu's novel.Beginning with the social background at the times of the creation of novels,this article analyzes the factors that affect the characteristics of Yao Yuanchu's novels,and finally analyzes the features of the novels.The fourth chapter discusses the relationship between Yao Yuanchu and Nanshe.Beginning with the rise and fall of this group organization in Nanshe and its social assertion,this essay explores the social value of his literary creation from the relationship between Yao Yuanchu and Nanshe.The appendix is a summary of Yao Yuanchu lifetime introduction.
