With the vigorous development of China's political,economic,democracy legal system and in-depth exchanges with the rest of the world in all aspects,Chinese become a bridge of communication between China and the world,connecting each other's life.As a major immigration country,New Zealand has extensive cooperation on trade affairs and cultural exchanges with China,Chinese language is also an indispensable important part of foreign language teaching in New Zealand.I am honoured to be a mandrain language assistant at the University of Auckland in New Zealand for one year,and my main duty is to assist Chinese teachers to complete daily teaching tasks,which consists of marking students' homework,giving guidance to students in their report,finding teaching materials,preparing teaching resources,updating the teaching system,and carrying out Chinese Corner and cultural activities,as well as completing some basic work and major activities of Confucius Institute in Auckland.Based on having experienced the mode and content of Chinese teaching at the University of Auckland and collecting imformation,I carried out all-round description and analysis of Chinese language teaching situation,in order to provide beneficial reference for Chinese teaching to speakers of other languages,Chinese teaching in overseas universities and the present situation of Chinese language teaching in China,as well as more realistic research material and reference samples for the new situation of Chinese international promotion.Article will be divided into five parts: the first part is introduction of topic origin,significance,purpose,objects and methods of the research,as well as relevant research review on Chinese teaching situation of New Zealand and other countries in the world.The second part is the emphasis of the article,mainly about meticulous investigation of Chinese teaching at the University of Auckland.The contents include introduction of the University of Auckland and its Chinese teaching,course outlines of three grades,Chinese teaching staff and assistants,teaching methods,students' Chinese language course learning and exam evaluation,which present the overall condition of Chinese teaching at the University of Auckland.The third part is introduction of Chinese course teaching resources at the University of Auckland,which belongs to its own characteristics,mainly including the teaching materials and Canvas learning management system used in the three grades' Chinese courses.The fourth part is the overall evaluation and development suggestion of Chinese teaching at the University of Auckland.The fifth part is the conclusion,summarizing the whole research and reflecting the defects in the process.
