The existencial sentences in the Chinese language is a special sentence pattern, which occupies an extremely important position in the study of modern Chinese language.Since the 1940 s,many experts in linguistics have made remarkable achievements in syntactic, semantic, pragmatic, cognitive linguistics, comparative linguistics and conversion-generated grammar about the Chinese existential sentences.Although there are some similar structures in the Ukrainian language that indicates the same meanings, but it is rarely taken as a separate sentence in linguistic to do researches. In other words, there was no concept of existential sentence in the Ukrainian language earlier, but in recent years due to the development of Chinese grammar research, more and more Ukrainian researchers are doing researches between the two languages, the concept is gradually accepted in Ukrainian but there are still not many related studies.In this paper, the author mainly refers to the theory of comparative linguistics, finds out the corresponding forms of Chinese existential sentences in Ukrainian language. From the perspective of syntactic and semantic features, the author points out the differences and similarities of the existing sentences in the two languages.Following by the studying of common mistakes of Ukrainian students acquiring Chinese existential sentences and giving some corresponding teaching suggestions. The paper is divided into four chapters:The introduction part mainly introduces the research purpose, summarizes the relatively fixed syntactic structures of the existing sentences in Ukrainian language, summarizes the related researches’ results about existential sentences in both languages, and introduce the theoretical basis, language material sources and researching methods.Second, the corresponding expressions of Chinese existential sentences in Ukrainian language. The second chapter is the main content of the paper.Firstly, the concept of A,B and C segments in existential sentences is introduced. On this basis, the corresponding expression of each segment in Ukrainian language is analyzed by syntactic and semantic features. It mainly focuses on showing the corresponding structures of four kinds of common existential sentences in Chinese: "shi","zai","you" and "v +zhe" in Ukrainian.Third,an analysis of the errors made by Ukrainian students while learning Chinese existential senttences and teaching suggestions.Through questionnaires and examinations, the author collected a large amount of corpus, classified the cases of errors and studied the causes of the errors, then put forward the teaching suggestions for different types of errors. The fourth chapter summarizes the whole thesis, discusses the research results, and summarizes the innovations and shortcomings of this paper. On the basis of previous studies, this paper extensively collected a large number of corpus in Chinese and Ukrainian, and used contrastive analysis to explore the corresponding expressions of Chinese existential sentences in Ukrainian by the aspects of syntax and semantics. The author hopes that the research results can help the Ukrainian students to study Chinese existential sentences better.
