The Variorum Of Shuowen Etymology (Volume ? And ?)

Etymological discussion can be traced back to ancient and modern times.As far as the pre-qin period,there have been the ancient people's exploration of the etymology.The study of etymology has never ceased,and its research results are quite abundant.In this paper,based on the article,the author collects and collates the research results of the previous studies on the etymology.This thesis is mainly divided into two parts:The first chapter is the introduction part,which briefly introduces the definition of word source concept,the development process of word source research and some problems in the current study of etymology.The second chapter is the interpretation of the source set of the article,which is mainly about the collection and release of 1430 characters of the first and second volumes of the text,and the collection of the various theories of various times.The completion of the whole thesis can also show the development history of the ancient etymology research,the difficult process of the study of the etymology,and the help for the later research.
