| The oracle bones in Keio University collected by department of Archaeology,Libraries and Institute of Oriental Classics were parts of the numerous and abundant collections in Yin ruins scattered overseas in the early period, with a total of 70 pieces. The collections were purchased in the 1910’s.In the 1940’s,Japanese scholars had conducted a preliminary investigation on some of the materials, and published copies and interpretations. However, since early investigation was not comprehensive, original versions such as photos,same-sized rubbings were not published in monographic publications and research notes.Furthermore, the published images are not high-quality,which is inconvenient for researchers to study oracle bones.Through field investigation, this paper sorts out the oracle bones from the following aspects:Ⅰ.Conjugate the fragments of the oracle bone collections and complete them.Ⅱ.Publish the high-definition chromophotographs of these collections.Ⅲ.Make facsimiles based on the object and rubbings, then process and analyze plates with image processing technology and software.Ⅳ.Classify these oracle bones on the basis of characters’ typeface and then arrange them according to relative matters.Ⅴ.Draw upon the new researches of academic circle to make decipher texts.Ⅵ.Compile a description of these collections to retrieve relevant information, which includes the material category, storage locations, the original numbers, splicing, etc. |
