A Study On Prokofiev's Piano Sketches Op.12

Prokofiev's piano suite "The Top Ten Essays" is the ten piano melodies published on the 12 th.This work is a creation that Prokofiev had revised several times during his early school years and has already been able to reflect the composer's creative style.This article aims to analyze the characteristics of music creation that permeates Platt's entire creative career through in-depth study of the composing background and composing techniques of the work.Based on this,the author conducted a detailed analysis of the technical highlights and difficulties of the work through his own performance practice,aiming to provide performance reference for subsequent performers.This article is divided into three chapters.First,based on the three periods of the composer's creative career,the author introduced the composing features of each period and the corresponding forms of composition.Secondly,the author gave a detailed description of this piano suite,including the composing process,time of presentation and critics.In the second chapter,the author conducted an in-depth study of the music composing methods of the ten works of this set.A detailed analysis of the composing techniques and the musical characteristics of each work was shown from three aspects,namely,the music structure,theme material,tone and harmony of the works,and corresponding examples are given as the evidence.In the third chapter,taking this set of melodies as a whole,the author analyzed the composer's utilizing of techniques to express his classic creative features,i.e.,classicality,ambiguity,lyricism,motivation,and innovation.Based on this,the key points and difficulties of the performance skills of the works were summarized,and corresponding performance tips were given in terms of speed,strength,touch keys,and fingering...
